OTWS 2024 Flyer

The 4-H On the Wild Side program combines exploration based learning with a camping experience for 4th, 5th, 6th grade students, many of whom have had limited access to environmental education, the exploration of wild space, and the chance to sleep under the stars.

At camp adult volunteers offer mentorship and support to the teen staff, who work together to design and implement fun, hands-on activities.

Youth participants will grow in their knowledge and understanding of the natural world, expand their appreciation for conservation and environmental stewardship, and develop an enthusiasm for nature and outdoor experiences.

Monthly Planning Meetings: January 25, February 29, March 16, April 3, April 18, May 16

All Staff-Retreat: April 26-27

Camp Weekends: May 31-June 2
