4-H Camp Staff

2023 4-H Camp--June 24-July 1

Please note the change in arrival and departure days for staff. Staff will need to arrive on Saturday, June 24 between 2-3pm and be picked up on Saturday, July 1 between 9-10am.

Being a part of the 4-H Camp Staff happens through an application and interview process. Each year we receive more applications than we have positions for. Please consider this like a job interview and take time to prepare. We will not be able to take all applicants, regardless of their participation on staff previously.

Other Important Information:

Cost for Staff = $$, due by TBA staff training. If you need financial assistance, please contact Jen Henkens.

If staff are not current 4-H members, they will need to pay the $80 4-H enrollment fee and enroll in v2.4honline.com.

Camp staff are required to attend all trainings, unless stated during the application/interview process. Illness or emergencies are also excused.

Reminder...Camp staff will be expected to arrive on Saturday, June 24 by 3pm and depart on Saturday, July 1 by 10:00 am.

Additional commitments

Saturday, June 23 and Saturday, July 1, staff will be asked to sign up to help with one of these dates. They will assist camp leadership in packing and/or unpacking the supplies used for 4-H Camp at the 4-H Office in Sacramento.

All training, will take place at the UCCE Sacramento 4-H Office, 4145 Branch Center Road. Times for Friday trainings are TBD.

Camp Staff Minimum Requirements:

Currently or willing to enroll in 4-H.
Prior attendance at Camp is desired.
Must be 14 or older and completed 8th grade by time of application.
Complete the online application.
Attend the Interview on specified date.
Able to attend all camp staff trainings and camp June 24-July 1, 2023

4-H Camp is a partnership between Sacramento, Solano and Yolo Counties and takes place in Nevada City. 4-H Camp Staff will need to attend all trainings and 4-H Camp from June 24-July 1, 2023.
