2025 Sacramento County Presentation Day
When: February 8, 2025
Where: Rosemont High School 9594 Kiefer Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95827
Eligibility: Any 4-H member between the age of 5-19 may participate in up to two categories. 4-H members age 5-8, may participate, but will not be "judged/evaluated". Adult volunteers, parents, and youth members may volunteer to help in a variety of areas (evaluators, room hosts, couriers).

How to Register for Sacramento County 4-H Presentation Day
Complete the following registration survey based on your presentation type and/or volunteer interest:

Youth that have a presentation can also volunteer.
The last day to register is February 4, 2025.
Schedule
Presenters need to arrive and check-in between 9:15-9:45 am. Please see the complete schedule:
- 9:00-9:15 am: Evaluator & Room Host/Courier Check-In
- 9:15-9:30 am: Evaluation & Room Host/Courier Orientation
- 9:15-9:45 am: Presenter Check-In
- 9:45 am: Opening Ceremonies
- 10:00 am: Presentations Begin
- 12:00 pm: Awards Ceremony
The ending time is an estimate and can change depending on the number of presentations.
Types of Presentations
There are many different types of presentations, which allows the participants to choose the format most appropriate to their topic and goals.
- Demonstration / Illustrated Talk
- Science or Engineering Presentation
- Educational Talk Display
- Informative Prepared Speech
- Persuasive Prepared Speech
- Interpretive Reading
- Share the 4-H Fun Skit
- Cultural Arts
Each of these presentation types is described in detail in the California 4-H Presentation Manual; blank copies of the rubrics that are used to score each type of presentation can also be found there. Example videos of each presentation type can be found here.
Other Important Information
The Presentation Day Evaluation is done using the Danish System of Judging. Speakers will be evaluated as per the evaluation rubrics adopted by the California State Presentation Day guidelines.
If you receive n Blue or Gold award at the Sacramento County 4-H Presentation Day, you may participate in a regional 4-H presentation event. If you receive a Blue or Gold award at a regional 4-H presentation event, you may present at the state 4-H presentation event.

At State Presentation Day, presentations given on specific topics will be award special recognition. The presentations may be any presentation type except Impromptu Speech. This year the topics are:
- Senior (14 - 19 yrs old)
- Youth Activism (Civic Engagement)
- Mental Impact of Bullying (Healthy Living)
- Youth-Adult Partnerships (Leadership)
- Food Science (STEM)
- Intermediate (11 - 13 yrs old)
- My Community
- My Heritage
