On the Wild Side Information Orientation Meeting
4-H On The Wild Side Camp
2025 Info & Orientation:
Thursday, January 30th
6:45-8:00pm
4145 Branch Center Rd. Sacramento, CA 95827
Are you an enthusiastic teen or adult looking for a volunteer opportunity to work with children?

The 4-H On the Wild Side program combines exploration based learning with a camping experience for 4th, 5th, 6th grade students, many of whom have had limited access to environmental education, the exploration of wild space, and the chance to sleep under the stars.
At camp adult volunteers offer mentorship and support to the teen staff, who work together to design and implement fun, hands-on activities.
Youth participants will grow in their knowledge and understanding of the natural world, expand their appreciation for conservation and environmental stewardship, and develop an enthusiasm for nature and outdoor experiences.
Monthly Planning Meetings: January 30, February 27, March 30, April 10, May 8
All Staff-Retreat: April 25-26
Camp Weekends: May 30-June 1
